Here is a copy of the Variety box office totals for They Call Her One Eye's opening weekend. Sandwiched between THATS ENTERTAINMENT and THE GROOVE TUBE, Bo Arne's recut and mutilated film did quite well to say the least! My favorite stat is that this did better than FIVE EASY PIECES... those grindhouse films were quite popular and I think this strong start is a testimony to the powerful images of the film (and the fine use of them for the poster of course).

The other surprising thing about this list, a lot of the films on it are great! Classics! Compare it with a list of the top grossing forgettable pieces of crap today! And Thriller beat out some of the classics, a testament to it and the audiences of yesteryear.
