A short post dedicated to THE GROOVY AGE OF HORROR's owner Curt today. I found this and thought he would dig it... but I don't know how ANYONE could not! This is from Fawcett RED CIRCLE COMICS book MADHOUSE. Click for big versions and hats off to Cimmerian for the scans.

Oh . . . wow. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing the love!! I'm not familiar with Bruce Jones--do you know his other work?
Great post. I've been a fan of Mr Jones' work ever since I bought my first copy of Twisted Tales. Has this tale come from an issue of that late, fondly remembered comic?
Valerie Lewton is obviously a reference to Val Lewton, who directed "Cat People" and "I Walked with a Zombie".
I'm a huge fan of Bruce Jones' work myself...and I had no idea he drew! I guess I'm not that big a fan ;) This predates Twisted Tales I'm pretty sure, and that Val Lewton reference is priceless ain't it?
Boy, the layouts on these pages really worked for me. Dense and busy but very easy to follow and uses up the minimal space well.
