I love YOR as any long time Tomber knows and here is an AMAZING piece that I stumbled over at Comic Art Fans.

Probably the "Alvaro" which Zanotto dedicated the first drawing to was Alvaro Zerboni, publisher and CEO of Argentian Record Editions that spread Argentinian comics all over the world (especially in Italy).
