Tarzana The Wild Girl

I'm in a jungle girl frame of mind these days, and Tarzana was a lot of fun.  Now, don't expect it to be more than what you would expect in many ways. Tarzana is a little girl lost in the jungle that grows up hot, talks to animals, runs around as nature intended and finds herself being chased / rescued by a party of people with varied intentions. For every scuzzball that wants to capture her to sell back to her parents, there is a hero--and KEN CLARK is on the hunt to be the good blond dude / superspy in the jungle.

Monkey refusing clothing? Check.
Monkey clapping when Tarzana takes off clothing? Check!!
Me being surprised when a voice whooping out a WOOOOOOAAOAAOAOAOAOOOOOOOOOOO emerges from behind my pants zipper when Tarzana runs, swings and bathes in the nude?  CHECK!

Ken Clark being awesome? Check.
Femi Benussi being awesome? Check.

And yes..there is a scene that made me think fondly of Laura Gemser trying to "make contact" with a native ala Emmanuelle and the Last Cannibals.  Minus the clitoral rotations. When Franca Polesello realizes the best way to say FRIEND to Tarzana is by pulling out her Jungle Jugglies...I'm a happy happy man.

Tarzana. It's what you expect...with way more breasts.
SCORE!
Director Guido Malatesta made many great movies. Tarzana isn't one of them, but it is a ton of fun!

And of course...how to say FRIEND in Jungle Girl speak!!

David, I've got your blog listed on mine and I popped over to see what's shaking. I just 'found' a copy of Tarzana last night and I just finished a write-up on Eve (both before seeing your post). Hilarious.

You're going to LOVE Herbert Lom in Eve. Christopher Lee and Frank Clark round out the only three things worth watching it for. If jungle girl Eve ever got topless there'd be two more reasons to watch it. I'm looking forward to getting at least that much out of Tarzana. Thanks for the laughs.
